7 Drool-Worthy Chocolate Bars, Ranked From Worst to Best

I’ve lost a bit of my passion lately, so I’m writing about something I’ve been consistently passionate about—my favorite chocolate.

I just got back from visiting my family, and it was AMAZING! However, I’ve had to readjust to my new home again, which proves difficult when I wasn’t truly adjusted before.

In the song Changes by Hayd, he sings,
I’m going through changes
But I swear I’m the same
Could you show me some patience
Along the way?

Yes, I’m asking for patience, but I’m not the same person I was before moving halfway across the States. It saddens me to think of going through this life and staying the same. If I stayed the same, I wouldn’t have learned anything.

With God, every season of life, even the conflicting ones, teaches us something valuable.

Every time I think about writing in this transitioning season, I hear the words, “Write about chocolate.” For my Christian lifestyle blog, it’s silly as all get out!

But I’ll listen to my inner voice and write about chocolate. Writing is supposed to be fun! I assume this is my mind’s way (or even God’s way) of reminding me of that.

If you like chocolate, then feel free to read about my favorites. If not, click off and never speak of it again. 😅

7 Chocolate Bars That Will Make You Drool, Ranked From Worst to Best

While the following bars are ranked from best to worst, they all taste amazing! I’m simply ranking them by personal preference.

If you’d rank these chocolate bars differently, let me know in the comments! I’d love to hear from you.

7. Lindt Classic Recipe OatMilk Salted Caramel Chocolate

This bar is so smooth and tasty. It’s the perfect combination of sweet and salty. Plus, chocolate and caramel are my FAVORITE combination on this planet.

Devastatingly, I refuse to purchase this one again because the last time I bought it, my molars hurt for the rest of the night. I guess my teeth are a smidge too sensitive for the salty crunch of this one.

6. Great Value 50% Dark Chocolate Bar

This chocolate bar not only comes with an amazing price tag, but it also packs a rich flavor. I do, however, wish the squares were a bit bigger and thinner, instead of chubby little squares.

That’s a minor thing unless you’re making smore’s. In that case, Hershey’s reigns superior (or Zebra cookies *drools*).

5. Enjoy Life Ricemilk Chocolate Bar

I feel like this list needs a good ol’ plain milk chocolate bar. This one is pricey, but Enjoy Life was a life-saver (see what I did there?) when I couldn’t have dairy. It was the only dairy-free chocolate that tasted like a real chocolate bar.

Call me crazy, but I believe Enjoy Life chocolate bars taste better than some dairy-filled bars. They’re creamy, rich, and potent against cocoa cravings. What more could one ask for?

4. Lindt Excellence Intense Orange Dark Chocolate

I’m gonna be honest, I bought this chocolate bar on a whim. I kind of thought I would hate it. I’m a fan of oranges, but oranges in my chocolate?? That seems to cross a line.

Oh, how I was wrong! Even my husband loved this chocolate bar, and he’s not the biggest fan of fruity flavors in desserts. The balance of dark chocolate and a zesty punch of orange surprised us.

If a chocolate bar can delightfully surprise my tastebuds, I gotta give it extra points, so that’s why it’s on this list.

3. Great Value Milk Chocolate with Salted Toffee

While on a grocery run, my husband pointed out this sweetness. To my surprise, it’s seriously delicious. It’s hard for us to ration this chocolate bar.

Again, Great Value’s prices are making this girl’s heart happy. As for the size of the chocolate squares, since there are bits of toffee gold in this bar, the size doesn’t seem as off-putting as the dark chocolate bar.

The best part? This chocolate bar’s inner goodies don’t hurt my molars! I’m curious why Lindt’s does. Maybe I just had sensitive teeth at the time. Who knows!

2. Sam’s Choice 55% Dark Chocolate with Oatmilk

If I’m not mistaken, this chocolate bar was introduced to me by my in-laws. It’s a bit more expensive than Great Value’s version of dark chocolate, but the squares are thinner (aka easier to bite into) and quite a bit creamier.

There’s nothing to complain about with this one. It’s even dairy-free! Now onto my #1 favorite chocolate bar…

1. Ghirardelli Milk Chocolate Caramel Squares Bar

Photo Source: Surprise! It’s Walmart! 😉

While I don’t like the price tag on this one, Ghirardelli’s caramel chocolate bar is by far the BEST chocolate that has ever graced my tastebuds.

It does melt faster than the average chocolate bar—probably because there’s it’s a thin sheet of chocolate caressing heavenly caramel—but I will forgive it. Just don’t leave it near your stove.

Believe it or not, I’ve been snacking on this chocolate as I write this. If that doesn’t say I love it, I don’t know what does!

This Ends Our Exploration of Chocolate

As much as I wish I could keep writing about chocolate, I should probably go find a snack to balance out the chocolate sugars I’ve consumed while editing this delicious post.

If you loved reading about my favorite chocolate, please don’t be afraid to show it. You can comment about your favorite chocolate bar or share this post on one of your social media platforms.

And just in case you are a skimmer, here is a quick recap of the chocolates I’ve listed today:
