My husband and I got to experience our very first Christmas in our home! While it wasn’t actually Christmas day (we were at my family’s house on the 25th), we marked a day on the calendar and celebrated like it was Christmas.
We snapped a few pictures along the way to freeze the memory in time and to share with you guys!
How We Spent Our First Christmas in our Home

The night before, we pretended it was Christmas Eve with a couple mugs of decked out hot chocolate. Aren’t the marshmallow snowmen adorable??

To start out the following morning strong, I woke up my husband in the quietness of 7am, excited to give him the presents I had gotten him just a week before.
And let’s be honest, I was excited to see what he bought me. He’s the best at gift giving!

Connor’s least favorite thing he bought me were these plastic storage containers. He said, “They aren’t fit for Christmas.”
But he still bought them because he knows how hard it is for me to buy stuff like this for myself, and I had been oohing at them for weeks.
I immediately filled them with our Christmas candy!

If you’ve been following me for a while, you know I’m a sucker for tea, especially tea samplers.
There is something special about getting a variety of teas and slowly sipping through them.

To top everything off, he bought me a couple of cozy items to get me through the harsh reality of winter.
The hoodie is SO soft! And what’s even better about the body scrub, it’s the same scent as my recently obtained body wash. Now I can be like one of those fancy girls who scent layer. 🙈
I’ve been trying to avoid fragrances in the shower, so this is such a special thing to me. It feels like a guilty pleasure. Lol.
Merry Belated Christmas
I can’t sign off without sharing that Connor also bought me an adorable sugar cookie scented pink slime. Slime is not just for kids! It’s my new obsession. 🙈
You can also see the Sharpie white pens he bought me. They were sort of a side gift, but I absolutely love them.
Not an affiliated or sponsored statement, but if you don’t have these pens yet, you need to go to Walmart right now. They write so smoothly!
While the gifts are exciting, let’s not forget the story behind why we celebrate Christmas. Christ is the reason.
Furthermore, let’s not forget to celebrate the sacrifice the Lord made for us throughout the whole year. This is our eternity!
