Whether it was a day-trip to the Great Smokey Mountains or crossing the United States to visit Yellowstone National Park, my family took my siblings and I on many adventures.
Now that I’ve spent the last year settling into my own home, I’ve started to get the travel itch again. It’s been long enough!
Yes, my husband and I travel to South Carolina to visit my family often, but I’m talking about going somewhere else. An exciting adventure for the two of us!
5 Exciting Destinations I Would Visit Again in a Heartbeat
My TWENTIETH birthday was this month, and it has me feeling a bit antsy. I want to get out and explore the world again, but since my husband and I have done very little traveling on our own, I love the idea of visiting the places I already know I adore.
Believe it or not, Yellowstone and the Grand Canyon didn’t make it on this list of top five places!
Writing this post doesn’t mean I’ll get to visit these places anytime soon (or ever), but if I could visit them again, I would in a heartbeat
Fort Worth, Texas
My family and I visited Fort Worth a few years ago. While there, all I wanted was to bring my boyfriend (now husband) with us.
This go around, however, I’m going to a local coffee shop. I vaguely remember going to one with my family, but I obviously didn’t get coffee.
Visiting Fort Worth again is such a desire of mine that my husband and I actually plan on driving that way this year. Pack a cooler of bento boxes and chips and head out for a few days.

We visit my family so much that it makes any traveling for personal pleasure quite difficult to achieve between trying to finish our house, so we’ve definitely got our fingers crossed on this one! 🤞 (So grateful that I get to visit my family as much as I do though!!)
Orlando, Florida
More like Disney World! Even as someone who doesn’t enjoy rollercoasters, I loved my time in the magical world of Disney. Granted, we only went to Magic Kingdom, which is known for its milder rides.
If I get to visit again, my husband and I have decided we’ll probably fly into Orlando, get a cab, and stay at one of their hotels without getting park tickets.
I hear Disney Springs is cool enough on its own to call a vacation!
Washington D.C
I was pretty young when my family went to Washington D.C, but I have lots of fun memories from my time there.
I want to visit thee zoo again so bad! Guys, they have PANDAS! How many zoos have pandas?? (Please don’t tell me they no longer have pandas…)
They also have red pandas, which I was convinced were just racoons painted red. My parents tried to tell me otherwise, but I wasn’t having it.
I found a public domain picture for proof.

Charleston, South Carolina
Okay, I’m not sure if this one fully counts.
While it’s a beloved vacation spot for many, my desire to visit is closer to my heart. Living there for 7 years of my childhood means that Charleston holds my most precious memories.

Even without the sentimentality, Charleston is the best place to visit hands down. Island of Palms, Shem Creek, Seawee Outpost, local restaurants, all the things!
Margaritaville Resort
This one is less location based and more… hotel. I loved my stay here so much that I want to stay one more time in my lifespan.
The moment I first set foot in a Margaritaville Resort, I was truly captivated. I felt too hillbilly to be there, but I didn’t care.
Fun fact, my husband and I were actually going to stay here for our honeymoon. I was devastated when we changed our minds, but everything worked out even better than our original plan.
And no, I do not want to go for the margaritas. My husband and I don’t drink…
Bonus Place I’ve Never Been: Lake Tahoe
37 trillion gallons of clear water. Who wouldn’t want to see that?
This one is definitely more of my husband’s dream destination, but that kind of makes it mine as well. I’d love to see his excitement looking out over the lake he’s dreamed of seeing for years.
Will it be a location I would visit twice? I guess we’ll find out someday!
What has been your favorite vacation?
Have you ever been somewhere that you want to visit again? Please tell me! Maybe I need to add it to my list.
