Why Your Past Isn’t Something to Forget

I’ve wondered before why God doesn’t wipe our bad memories from the past, but then it hit me yesterday.

It’s not because He wants it to haunt us, it’s because He wants us to be able to see how far we’ve come. God doesn’t give us more than we can handle, so the things we remember from the past are the things that are meant to be remembered. It’s all for a greater purpose. We should look at the past as a way of forming us and our stories.
